With over a thousand resources available, the Vantage Online API is available to all clients subscribed to our Enterprise version. All access to data within Vantage Online is via its OData RESTful API which models the entire database. This API is used by all the applications in the system.
OData APIs are easy to consume and have several advantages over standard RESTful APIs. The structure of the data model is contained within the API making coding easier. The most important advantage of this is the ability to query the data from the client, reducing the workload on the server and database, and reducing data being returned. Functions and actions provide custom operations to reduce the complexity for the user, such as performing security validations during login.
Armed with our API, Enterprise clients can integrate their CRM, email marketing and business-critical ERP systems with Vantage Online to ensure that duplication of data-entry is kept to an absolute minimum. Users, wherever they may be in the business, will have access to the information they need to perform their roles effectively.
Customer Web Portal
Allow your supported clients to log faults and raise tickets, request toner and supplies and enter meter readings directly via our customer web portal.
We’ve also introduced the ability to choose which functions you make available to which clients. You can even choose to give them access to their important KPIs through account-specific dashboards. Used in conjunction with our API, supplier integration and inbound and outbound email functionality, this solution gives you the ability to provide a seamless end-to-end service to your customers.
We understand that time is money, and as a result are working with many of the industry’s leading distributors and manufacturers to provide quick, reliable and simple to use integration with online ordering systems. Integration is already available with Westcoast, Data Direct and Katun, and Vantage will provide assistance and access to our API to any verified complimentary partner who wishes to integrate their solution with Vantage Online.
This integration can mean that authorised orders within Vantage Online can be passed seamlessly to your supplier’s back-office system, with confirmation of stock-status and pricing returning from the supplier. In some cases, you can also receive updates regarding shipping and despatch, and even confirmation of successful delivery on back-to-back orders, complete with POD information. From some systems, your supplier’s invoice can even be sent directly into Vantage Online, where it is matched against the corresponding purchase order and moved onwards into your accounts package.
